The flag of El Salvador was adopted on September 27, 1972. It is based on the flag of the United Provinces of Central America, inspired in the Argentine flag, and was initially adopted in 1822, abandoned in 1865, reinstated in 1912, and last confirmed in 1972.The two blue stripes represent the oceans that bathe the Central American coasts: the Pacific and the Atlantic. The white stripe represents peace. This flag also contains the National Coat of Arms and is used by the government or state organizations.
Our expertly crafted Flags of El Salvador are unsurpassed in color, authenticity and craftsmanship. The designs are always in correct proportion to the flag size.
